WhatsApp for iOS version 23.13.82 reportedly brings a new interface that features a translucent bar to complement the overall aesthetics of the iOS software. According to Wabetainfo, the new interface on the iPhone will offer a redesigned experience with translucent tab bars and navigation bars. The report further mentions that “a similar interface was already available on WhatsApp for iOS 7, but WhatsApp decided to turn off the translucent effect for unknown reasons.” However, in the latest update, the Meta-owned app is bringing back that design.
The new update has been released to all iPhone users in the last few weeks. Although the official changelog does not mention the impact of the redesign, we have updated the app and the new design is visible in the WhatsApp app.
To get updates of new apps, users can update the app from the App Store. After updating, users will also have to restart the app to see the changes. However, it should be noted that WhatsApp rolls out new changes gradually, so even after updating, users may have to wait for a few days to get the update if the changes are not reflected immediately.
Once updated, users will notice that the top bar of chats is transparent, similar to the notification bar on the iPhone. Although the new interface does not bring significant changes, it matches the overall aesthetics of the iOS software.
Meanwhile, along with new design changes, the update also includes improvements to the sticker tray, which provides users with easier navigation to access stickers. Additionally, the update enhances avatar sections, allowing users to view more avatars, stickers or GIFs during chats and select from the tray accordingly.
